1a) Go to
the Data Loading -> FCS File
Options Category.
1b) Check the Allow
Multiple Datasets check box.
The Dataset
Name Keyword edit
box will
now become enabled.
1c) Enter @DataID
in the Dataset Name
Keyword edit
box.
The screen should now look like the one below.

From now on, when you select an FCS data file to use, and it is a compound Sapphire file, you will be able to browse into the file as if the file was a folder, and select which data set you want. For instance, the file CBC+CD348.complete , shown below, is a compound Sapphire FCS data file.

If
you double click on that file within
FCS Express, it will "browse" into that file and show a list of all the
data sets that the file contains, as in the picture below.


2a) Go to the Plots->Dot Options->Binned Dot Specific Options-> category.
2b) Change the Cells To Show drop down list to display all cells.
2c) Go to Plots-> 2D Plots.
2d) Tick on the baseline offset checkbox.

3a) Go to the Plots->Histogram->Histogram Specific Options category
3b) Change the Plot Resolution to "Specified Below"
3c) Change to show 512 resolution

The 32,768 channel data will now be smooth into 512 channel histograms. This makes the populations much easier to visualize.
