One of the many timesaving
features that FCS Express offers is the ability for you to gate on a
marker. This was a highly requested feature and is useful if you want
to use your marker to set a negative (or positive) population and have
your other plots only show cells in that population. To see how easy it
do accomplish, watch our brief demo on Gates.
All you have to do is convert a marker to a gate with a click of a
button, and then you can use that gate like you would in any gate
formula. Converting a marker into a gate could not be any easier! By right-clicking on the histogram you can easily choose to convert a marker to a gate or to link the marker to the gate.
| Right click on the 1D plot of interest and choose Convert Marker to Gate to either Convert or Convert and Link the marker to a gate |
![]() |
| Converting a marker to a gate: The marker will move independently of the gate. | Converting and linking a marker to a gate: When the marker is adjusted the linked gate will automatically update. |
Quadrants
can also be converted to gates and linked!
