Processor
There is no minimum processor requirement. Of course, the faster the processor the faster the program will run. FCS Express is a multi-thread enabled program, and will use all the available processors on the computer.
Memory
FCS Express itself requires very little memory. The amount of memory you need is determined primarily by the size and number of data files that you are going to be analyzing at the same time. As a general rule, we suggest as much memory as possible. FCS Express is a 32-bit program, and can use up to 3 GB of memory on a 32-bit Windows system, and 4 GB of memory on a 64-bit Windows system.
Hard Drive Space
The FCS Express complete installation is about 50 MB including the program itself, PDF manual and help file, including the tutorials. The sample data is available as a separate download, and will require approximately 125 MB.
Network Version Requirements
There is no particular requirement of the file server that you are going to install the FCS Express Network version on. Since the software executes on the client's local computer, it does not consume resources of the file server. The FCS Express network version has been sucessfully installed on Windows based, Linux based and SAN networks.
Microsoft Office
FCS Express works with Microsoft Office, and can export in PowerPoint®, Excel® and Word formats. Ofice 2003, 2007 and 2010 are all supported. However, if you are running 32-bit Office on an installation of 64-bit Windows, that combination is not supported
