Over the past 30 years, tremendous advances in imaging technology have provided researchers with the means to acquire and analyze thousands of detailed images of biological specimens.
Cellular Imaging is now an essential tool for the researcher who investigates the processes underlying cellular function. From the simple analysis of fluorescent intensity to the more sophisticated methods to classify and quantify cells in different stages of the cell cycle, imaging is fundamental to research microscopy.

Collaboration
Molecular Devices and De Novo Software are collaborating to enable data import from the Molecular Devices imaging systems and Meta series image analysis software.
Use of De Novo software is possible (or in development) with data from the following Molecular Devices Imaging Products:
- ImageXpress Velos System: (Previously called the "IsoCyte Laser Scanning Cytometer")
- Meta Imaging Series Research Software and Application Modules (in development)
- MetaXpress High Content Screening Instruments, Application Modules and the MDCStore Database (in development)
