After almost two years of intensive effort, De Novo Software is proud to introduce FCS Express Version 3. The user interface has been completely rewritten from Version 2 in order to provide a modern look-and-feel that is usually only found in sophisticated software packages, such as the Microsoft Office® suite. FCS Express Version 3 has been designed to give you all the flexibility and professionalism found in high quality presentation and publishing software without sacrificing the wealth of the data analysis capabilities that Version 2 possessed. In fact, the analysis capabilities have also been substantially enhanced, with new features including hierarchical gating and new statistics.

Why Upgrade to Version 3?

1. There are more powerful ways to see your data. Tokens can now be put in text boxes anywhere on your layout, and can access data from plots or data files - even if you haven't loaded the data files anywhere into a plot. Custom tokens give you complete flexibility - you can now embed statistics or keywords into complicated formulas - and then place those formulas inside other ones. There is absolutely no limitation to what you can do with custom tokens.

2. You can have better control over your analysis.

Create gates hierarchically, or traditionally (where newly-drawn gates are independent of any others). Later, using the new Gate View window, you can easily adjust the gating hierarchy by dragging and dropping.
Set up quadrants so that the vertices appear at a chosen percentile on both the x and y axis.
Automatically classify statistics in categories that you choose, based on your own criteria.

3. You will have more flexibility in exporting your data. You can now print your analysis any time to an Adobe® PDF file. In batch processing you now have the ability to save your information into reports in PDF forms, in Microsoft® Word documents (using Mailmerge), as well as in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Batch processing also has many other significant improvements.

4. Work with even more presentation options. The text boxes are completely revamped - you can now type directly into them, and adjust the fonts and colors using standard, familiar toolbars. In fact, text boxes are now entire word processors - just about anything you would want to do inside Microsoft Word, you can now do in our text boxes - including adding tables. Just insert a table and arrange your information in it just like you would in your word processor. And the new Shapes allow you to draw arrows or lines between plots and text boxes.

5. Your plots can be formatted more easily and quickly. The new formatting toolbar allows you to select several plots and change options on all of them at the same time. And the traditional formatting window is easier to navigate, with a side panel instead of tabs.

6. You can save time by storing your panel information in your analysis layouts. By using the Panels feature, when you load data files, day after day, FCS Express will automatically put the data from the correct files into the appropriate plots.

7. You can institute better quality control. Create alerts to validate basic statistical tests, and run the alerts at any time. You can also set the alerts to automatically run before batch processing.

8. You can create more attractive plots by using the automatic option when looking at density and contour plots.

9. It's easier to get started. The Page Layout feature on the new Taskbar allows you to automatically create a blank page with plots and text boxes already laid out. And the Taskbar can remain visible to give you one-click access to recently used layouts or templates.

10. The licensing plans are more flexible - if you opt for the dongle option, you will be able to install and run the software on many different computers.
