Why do I get a connection error when I try to use DDS or Publishing?
If you cannot connect to the DDS service or Publishing service using FCS Express,
it may be because your computer is using a proxy server to connect to the internet,
and that proxy server may be blocking the communication between FCS Express and our web site.
If that is the case, please
right-click on this link,
and select Save Target As (in Internet Explorer), or
Save Link As (in Firefox). When you see the Save As dialog,
navigate to the folder where the FCS Express is installed - by default, this folder is
C:\Program Files\De Novo Software\FCS Express V3 - and save the file. Note that if you do not have
administrative privileges on your computer, you may need to ask your IT staff
to save the file.
Then, close FCS Express and run it again. You should now be able to connect
to the services.
