12. Why do I get errors upon exiting FCS Express?

Errors received upon exiting FCS Express usually is an indication that you do not have enough virtual memory. When Windows™ runs out of RAM, it reverts to its virtual memory. The following instructions will show you how to increase your virtual memory settings:

  1. From the Windows™ start menu, click on the Control Panel.
  2. Double-click on the System icon.
  3. If you are running Windows™ XP, click on the Advanced tab. Under the Performance section, click on Settings.
  4. In the Performance Options window, click on Advanced.
  5. In the Virtual Memory section, click on Change.
  6. Increase the Maximum size by at least 150 MB. Then click Set.



  7. Click OK to close this window. Click OK on the Performance Options screen to complete the task.

 

13. My computer running FCS Express had to be replaced. How do I reinstall FCS Express on my new machine?

Here are the steps to follow to reinstall FCS Express on a new machine:

  1. You will have to install FCS Express again, by downloading it from the website. To download the software again, click here.
  2. You will be prompted to save the file. Save it to your desktop.
  3. The file is named FCSExpressV3Full.exe. Double-click on the file, when the download has completed, to begin the installation. FCS Express will then be installed on to your computer.
  4. After FCS Express has completed installation, you can delete the installation file FCSExpressV3Full.exe from your desktop.
  5. Now you have to get a configuration file. In order to obtain a new configuration file, please check with step 5 on our installation page.
  6. Now you will have to obtain a new countercode to be able to use FCS Express. Note that there is a $25 administrative charge for the a countercode, as per our copy protection policy. Please follow the procedure in step 7 on our our installation page to obtain the countercode.
