The De Novo Software Data Services is an innovative service that easily allows you to store and search for results from your flow cytometry experiments. De Novo Software hosts these services on our web site so all our customers can easily access the service with no setup required. Details about our hosted plans are described here.
De Novo Software also offers the option of you hosting the DDS at your own organization with our Self-Hosting plan. That way, the DDS sits behind your firewall and is completely under your control. You can schedule backups and maintenance and control who has access to the system. Pricing for the Self-Hosting plan can be found here.
There are several options for obtaining the Self-Hosting sytem:
Option 1
You will ship us a computer and De Novo Software will configure the system so that the DDS is running through IIS. We will then send the computer to you and all you have to do is plug it into your network and tell your FCS Express users the IP address of the new computer. |
Option 2
De Novo Software will distribute a VMWare virtual machine with the DDS running. You simply run the VM using the free VMWare Server. Just tell your FCS Express users the IP address of the new virtual machine and they will be able to use the DDS. |
Option 3
De Novo Software will work with your IT staff to install the DDS on an existing system. The DDS runs as a CGI dll under II6, using Microsoft SQL Server as the back end database. |
