Product Manager

De Novo Software is a rapidly growing company specializing in data analysis solutions for scientific experiments. Our flagship product, FCS Express, is used in thousands of research and clinical laboratories world-wide in applications ranging from basic science to disease diagnosis. We are a small company located in Los Angeles, CA.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a product manager. Our company is growing rapidly and offers a dynamic work environment and cutting-edge technology. Working at a small company, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks.

Duties

  • Coordinating with existing distributors and partners regarding promotion of FCS Express
  • Development of marketing materials for website, trade shows and other promotional literature
  • Representing De Novo Software at trade shows
  • Scheduling presentations and demonstrating software at flow and image cytometry core labs in universities and companies
  • Obtaining customer feedback
  • Suggesting and prioritizing new features and improvements to software
  • Staying current with advances in the field of flow and image cytometry and competitively software packages
  • Assisting in the maintenance of website and other documentation
  • Technical support via phone and e-mail
  • One-on-one Training
  • Writing technical documentation, tutorials, manuals etc
  • Reporting directly to the CEO.

Location

This position is on-site at the De Novo Software offices in Los Angeles.

Travel

This position requires approximately 20-30% travel.

Required Experience

  • 5 years experience in analyzing flow cytometry data, preferably with many different data analysis software packages
  • Extensive general computer experience with common MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent English, interpersonal, presentation, communication, and software skills.
  • Must have valid passport and valid driver’s license
  • Able to provide pre and post installation application support.
  • Able to interact with sales, sales support, customers, scientists.
  • Self-motivated, high energy, deadline and goal oriented individual.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous technical application specialist or scientific sales experience
  • Previous experience in a marketing or sales role at a flow or image  cytometry related company
  • Previous experience with FCS Express and other flow cytometry software packages
  • Use of specialized flow cytometry techniques: cell cycle, proliferation, calcium flux analysis
  • Use of a non-flow cytometry data analysis tools
  • Experience with imaging cytometry (Amnis, Compucyte, etc.)
  • Masters or PhD
  • Background in imaging applications.
